Schumacher: Mercedes has not fit expectations

BARCELONA-Michael Schumacher said the Mercedes team have not been able to develop their speed, after a seven-time world champion did not impressive training Friday (26 / 2).

German counterpart Nicolas Hülkenberg made the fastest time for Williams, faster than Fernando Alonso Ferrari pebalap, on the second day test ahead of the competition next March. "We're not in a position like we had hoped we could do," said Schumacher, who was 41 years old, told reporters.

"The issue in this training is that we are too far from what we expected," said the German pebalap active again after a three-year race back from the arena of race. Schumacher was seventh fastest in pebalap formal training just two days away in Barcelona, before the opening races held this season in Bahrain on March 14.

Mercedes took the world championship last year before hiring pebalap Brawn German but Ferrari and Red Bull just more impressive in appearance before the race this season. But training can not be used as a benchmark because of the fuel strategy.
